Is this treatment right for me?

Triton laser hair removal is suitable for treating a wide variety of hair types on light skin, while also ensuring safety and effectiveness for darker skin tones. There are some factors that should be taken into account before opting for this treatment though. so please book a consultation with one of our aestheticians who will assess your specific skin characteristics.

How long is the treatment?

The Triton laser works faster than traditional systems! Large areas such as a back or legs can be treated in about just 15 minutes.

How many sessions do I need to see results?

The number of treatments depends on many factors such as the area of treatment, hair growth, the colour of hair, skin tone, etc., which is why results are varying. Hair is reduced with each treatment and results are typically observed after 4-6 sessions. Appointments should be spaced about 4-6 weeks apart for the face and 6-8 weeks apart for the body.

Hair grows in different stages and at different rates for everyone, so again, it depends on each individual person and the area being treated.

What does it feel like? Will it hurt?

The sensation typically varies from person to person during the Triton laser treatment. You’ll feel some heat in the area, but this will only last a short while, thanks to the real-time cooling system that kicks in right away to help minimize discomfort. Integrated cooling helps protect the surrounding skin and alleviate any potential sensations of heat. The treatment itself feels like the light snap with an elastic band against your skin as the applicator moves around the treatment area. If you find it too uncomfortable, let us know, and we can adjust the treatment accordingly!

How will I feel after my treatment?

Your skin may look dry and feel a little itchy because the operator has to dry-shave the area before starting the treatment. Moisturizing can help relieve the itch. Other than that, you shouldn’t really feel any different after your treatment. In the case you had face laser done, you can apply makeup directly after your appointment, however make sure to apply SPF beforehand.

Avoid waxing, tweezing, or threading for 4 weeks
Avoid tanning for at least 4 weeks
Please shave the area 12-24 hours prior to treatment
Avoid topical Retin-A, any acids (salicylic acid, glycolic acids), or any exfoliants for 3 days prior to treatment.
Avoid self tanning for at least 2 weeks
Avoid medications that may cause photosensitivity reactions
Avoid Accutane for 6 months prior
Make sure that there are no tattoos, permanent makeup, rashes or infections to be treated
For women, we recommend that you have not conceived or are trying to conceive while on laser treatment

Avoid harsh topical creams (acne creams, anti-wrinkle, AHA, etc.), but moisturizing after treatment is recommended,
Avoid the sauna, hot tubs, hot baths, for example, that may induce sweating for at least 3 days
Wear loose fitting clothing so that you can avoid friction or rubbing on treated area
If you have done under arm laser, avoid deodorant or antiperspirant for at least 3 days
Greatly reduce sun exposure after your treatment. We recommend covering up or using a high SPF to avoid skin related changes for 3 weeks following the treatment and 3 weeks preceding the next session.
