During your consultation, you are asked to complete a brief questionnaire that asks about your health conditions, general health history, past health issues, allergies etc. This will help us better assist you. The first appointment may take slightly longer compared to successive sessions.
What is GENIUS™ RF Microneedling?
The GENIUS™ system blends fractional radiofrequency (RF) energy with precise microneedling to enhance skin tightening results. Featuring a tip with 49 sterile, insulated needles, it delivers RF energy directly to the deeper layers of the skin. These ultra-fine needles comfortably reach a controlled depth, allowing the energy to bypass the surface and effectively treat the dermis beneath. Throughout the procedure, the system monitors skin quality in real time, enabling your provider to tailor the treatment to your unique needs.
The GENIUS™ RF Microneedling Treatment
Microneedling treatments typically take approximately 2 hours, depending on the treatment area, skin type, and specific concerns. This involves application of the topical numbing cream (one hour prior to procedure), preparing the skin surface, and delivering the treatment. The specific time required for the GENIUS™ energy delivery depends on the number of areas being treated, but typically is about 15 minutes and up to an hour.
GENIUS™ can treat the skin on face, neck, décolletage, arms, knees, or surgery scars on other body areas. During the procedure, patients may experience slight discomfort, however, the topical numbing cream we use dramatically reduces the sensation of the skin during the treatment.

GENIUS™ stands out from other microneedling systems because it doesn’t just rely on mechanical needling; it combines microneedling with intelligent, energy-based technology. While traditional microneedling mainly stimulates collagen through controlled injury at the surface level, GENIUS™ goes deeper by delivering radiofrequency (RF) energy through the needles directly into the dermis. This dual action not only boosts collagen but also stimulates elastin — which is essential for skin firmness and elasticity.
• Keep hydrated by drinking water prior to treatment
• Avoid drinking alcohol for 24 hours in advance of treatment.
• For three to seven days prior to treatment, avoid therapies that may cause irritation, such as retinols or products containing isotretinoin and any exfoliating acid preparations.
• Shave visible hair from the treatment area.
• Male beards should be shaved on the day of treatment.
• Do not scrub or exfoliate the skin.
• Wash the area with warm water and a mild cleanser.
• The same procedure should be followed prior to each visit.
Depending on the area being treated, treatment can take as little as 15 minutes and up to an hour (allow an additional hour for numbing). Your technician will discuss your goals which will determine the length and number of treatments you will need.
A numbing cream will be applied an hour prior to the treatment to maximize your comfort level but your technician will discuss with you the most appropriate methods to alleviate any discomfort. You will feel heat and some pressure. Compared with CO2 lasers, many find GENIUS™ much more tolerable.
3-5 sessions are typically recommended to achieve optimal results. The body will continue to rebuild collagen for about six months following treatment.
There is an initial redness and swelling which substantially subsides after 24-36 hours. It can take up to a week for this to completely resolve. Most people resume normal activities within 48 hours.
You can expect to see some changes within a day or two after their first session of GENIUS™. However, your body will continue to build collagen for several weeks after that, so you will typically see improvement over the next six months. This is because the body takes time to create new collagen in the skin and to contract and remodel the connective tissue fibers.
Unlike many other procedures, GENIUS™ has long lasting results since it is your own body that is at work. The effects could last for years.
• Do not scrub the skin or exfoliate.
• Wash the area with warm water and a mild cleanser.
• Do not apply liquid makeup for 24 hours.
• Clients may use an ice pack with cloth at home if inflammation occurs.
• If skin feels tight or dry moisturizing cream may be applied.
• Refrain from touching your face.
• Avoid ultraviolet rays and apply sunblock >30 SPF UV A/B daily.
• Avoid alcohol consumption if possible.
• For 24 hours refrain from high intensity aerobic exercise or activities that increase the body temperature i.e. (Sauna, hot tubs, steam showers or exercise i.e. jogging, weight training, kickboxing, etc. for 24 hours).
